Technologies Specialist/Programmer


Job Overview:

This is a part time position. The Technologies Specialist/Programmer will assist with the conception, development, and implementation of cutting edge web-based research and reporting tools/applications. The Technologies Specialist/Programmer will also assist with writing/editing programs for marketing research studies, including developing online surveys and writing programs for the tabulation of research data collected, and will be responsible for providing networking and database support.


Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current processes used and make recommendations for the application of new technologies to desired research and reporting goals
  • Develop and implement applications/tools to help meet research and reporting goals
  • Assist with the updating and maintenance of the company website
  • Program for an in-house database-driven online reporting tool
  • Work with databases and client Internet portal
  • Write and edit tabulation programs for marketing research projects using WinCross software application (training provided)
  • Develop, coordinate and administer online research studies
  • Troubleshoot and advise on correction of problems with interactive communication/data-gathering instruments such as surveys, applications and online panel
  • Maintain internal network
  • Providing in-house tech support as needed
  • Support the Data Department by performing other tasks related to data input and processing

Knowledge/Skills Needed For This Position:
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Experience with website development/maintenance

  • Basic PC and Mac repair/maintenance

Training and support would be provided to ensure that this individual will be familiar with our specific client needs and methodologies. Hours are flexible, and will depend on project requirements. (Employees may be able to choose preferred days to work.)
